We empower Black-led organizations with resources to increase peace and prosperity in Black communities through evidence-based strategies, democracy, and civic engagement. We concentrate our efforts in 11 counties across California: Sacramento, Alameda, Contra Costa, San Francisco, Santa Clara, San Joaquin, Fresno, Kern, Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and San Diego.

COALITION BUILDING

Fostering collaboration among Black-Led Organizations focused on reducing community violence and police violence.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Engaging Black religious and community-based institutions and leaders to activate more Black voters in California.
ORGANIZER RESILIENCY

Providing targeted support for the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of Black community organizers through wellness programming.

LIVEFREE CA is a network partner of LIVEFREE USA, a national network dedicated to ending gun violence, mass incarceration, and mass criminalization through education, advocacy, and direct action. We are committed to creating safe, equitable communities for all. We are driven by our mission to build community power and agency by reimagining public safety and increasing civic engagement.
